ABOUT ME
"I was born and raised in Iowa. My interest in research led me to Johns Hopkins University, where I majored in Neuroscience, minored in Bioethics, and earned special distinction in Dance. I came back to Iowa for the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Iowa. At Iowa, I researched the effects of lithium on learning and memory and studied different testing methods for COVID-19. I also got my start in organized medicine with the IMS, AMA-MSS, and AMSA

Currently, I am at UTSW in the Psychiatry Research Track residency program and serve as Chief Resident. My clinical research interests include adolescent suicidality and substance use, cultural mental health, and medical education. I have had the opportunity to present nationally and internationally, present at Psychiatry Grand Rounds, and be awarded the national APA/APAF Public Psychiatry Fellowship.
